简　　介　
　　保罗·吉亚马提（Paul Giamatti 饰）是纽约一个剧团的演员，他正在排演契诃夫的戏剧《万尼亚舅舅》。但是这出戏让他身心疲惫，几近崩溃。偶然机会，保罗找到一家名为灵魂仓库的机构。利用先进的技术，保罗成功地将自己95%的灵魂提取出来。在此之后，他的演技没有任何进展，反而常常感到莫名的空虚，并且性格也发生变化。为了回归正常生活，保罗在医生的建议下“安装”了一个俄罗斯女人的灵魂，但却让他更加烦躁。他强烈建议要回属于自己的灵魂，却发现原本妥善保存的灵魂已经不翼而飞……
