简　　介
　　西西里青年咪咪本来是采石工人，因为在地区选举中投错票而被开除，一气之下，他抛下妻子只身来到都灵谋生。在那里他不但做了钢铁工人，还加入了共产党，并爱上一个叫菲娅的街头卖衣服女子。在他苦心追求下，两人结合并产下一子，但家乡的原配却又传来怀孕的消息，只好返乡，却发现老婆肚子中原来是当地警长留下的孽种。咪咪在愤怒下勾引警长的老婆，也让她珠胎暗结，在与警长的冤家路窄中，咪咪竟然被误认为是杀害警长的凶手而被捕...
