简　　介
　　内向老实的高中生天童纯（小野贤章 配音）自幼生长在美丽舒适的京都，某天他突然遭到一个恶鬼的袭击，仓皇之中跑入一座古寺，得到了僧人源云（中村狮童 配音）的救助。俄而竟被源云带到了久远的平安时代。原来平安时代恶鬼横行，与人类展开了连番的战争。为了消灭饿鬼，源云穿越时空带来了被称作救世主的天童。在最新的战斗中，天童为救助伙伴无意中唤醒了号称能摧毁恶鬼们的八岐大蛇。偶然的机会，他和大蛇救下了被贵族追杀的恶鬼水叶，由此发现了恶鬼的真面目，而他作为救世主的信念也遭到了动摇……
