简　　介
　　在伦敦，一个没有什么道德理念的艺术商人斯宾德尔经营着一家画廊，画廊里有两个工作人员，一个是野心勃勃的贝丝，还有一个是无所事事的佩姬。
　　最近几天，斯宾德尔不顾一切地想买一张立体画派的画家蒙德里安的画作《摇摆舞》（Boogie－Woogie）。不过这张画作的主人——日耳曼企业巨头阿尔弗里德·莱茵古德的妻子和秘书却执意要举办一场拍卖会，她们希望能在拍卖会上将画卖出个更好的价钱。于是她们便找来了占有欲极强的收藏家鲍勃参与竞拍。鲍勃正在和贝丝厮混，他的老婆珍也在和一位颇有前途的艺术家理查德斯享受床笫之乐，而理查德斯公认的女友却又是贝丝。阴错阳差之下，这些人在拍卖会的现场“搞出了新意思”。
　　与此同时，贝丝要鲍勃给她出钱开办个属于她个人的画廊，她准备为私生活糜烂的女同性恋艺术家艾莲娜开办一个展览。最后，展览成功举行，核心展品是艾莲娜的视频性爱日记。当所有人都聚集在贝丝的画廊里的时候，艾莲娜突然和所有人都闹翻了脸，她甚至和自己的好朋友兼经纪人杜威都反目成仇。她的目的又是什么呢……
