简　　介
　　上世纪大萧条时期，家住哈逊岸河畔的Margaret  Daisy  Suckley应邀前往她远房表兄Franklin D. Roosevelt位于海德公园的乡居中帮助这位内忧外患缠身的美国总统「放松一下」。不久她便成了他的情人。
　　这一特殊身份另Daisy见证了1939年Roosevelt在家中接待英国王乔治六世及其王后的全过程。正当英王夫妇为美国总统不合体制的接待活动焦灼不安时，Daisy亦发现了Roosevelt生活中不为人知甚至不为她知的一面。
　　大战一触即发的关键时刻，就在这个看似寻常的周末，口吃的Bertie（乔治六世的小名）和半身不遂的Franklin建立起了友谊，坚毅的英国国王与睿智美国总统达成了共识。决定了世界的格局和历史的走向。
