　　晴朗的日子里，海军陆战队员尼勒斯（Mehcad Brooks 饰）、奥斯卡（Dillon Casey 饰）、兰迪（Aaron Hill 饰）带着各自的女友驱车前往新奥尔良旅行度假。他们途径曾以出没杀人鳄鱼著称的柯林要塞，青年男女血气方刚，根本不会理会当地人的警告。此外，他们还讲述了关于格林姆里的传说。早在18世纪时，鲍廷家族勇敢健壮的格林姆里和妹妹相恋，可是妹妹却被鳄鱼吃掉。悲伤且愤怒的格林姆里杀死了鳄鱼，满怀悲愤地吃掉巢穴中的人肉和鳄鱼肉，从此化身为出没沼泽异型。青年们为这个故事所吸引，于是踏上了充满血光的死途……
