简　　介
　　一直以来，科克（安东尼·霍普金斯 Anthony Hopkins 饰）都希望成为能够独当一面的魔术大师，然而，理想和现实之间的距离的遥远的，时至今日，科克亦只能在老师的演出中充当龙套演员。
　　一次偶然中，科克发现了一个名为“菲兹”的木偶，之后，他学会了神奇的腹语术，成为了菲兹的主人。没过多久，科克和菲兹这对古灵精怪的搭档就获得了观众们的欢迎和认可，科克因此而实现了自己的梦想。然而，就在此时，科克震惊的发现，原本只是木偶的菲兹竟然渐渐开始有了自己的思想，不仅如此，它还试图控制科克，将科克变为了它的傀儡。在痛苦和矛盾中，科克会怎样回应自己这位“老朋友”呢？
