简　　介
　　小人物兰斯·巴顿（克里斯·罗克 Chris Rock 饰）一心成为一名专业喜剧演员，能在业余演员的殿堂阿波罗剧场成名更是他无上的梦想。但是他演技了了，时运不济，久久得不到出头的机会。某晚夜归，兰斯遭遇一场严重车祸，结果一命呜呼。他的灵魂来到天堂，却发现天堂工作人员搞错了名字。在天堂负责人金先生（查兹·帕明特瑞 Chazz Palminteri 饰）的帮助下，兰斯获准重返人间，不过由于他的身体已经毁坏，因此必须借助别人的身体还魂。
　　与此同时，曼哈顿大富翁威灵顿（Brian Rhodes 饰）刚被老婆（Jennifer Coolidge 饰）及其情妇杀害。为了接近心仪的姑娘，兰斯同意附身威灵顿，由此展开一段全新的人生……
