简　　介
　　1805年，俄法战争一触即发。贵族小姐娜塔莎（奥黛丽·赫本 Audrey Hepburn饰）年轻貌美，仍过着歌舞升平的贵族生活。娜塔莎的朋友皮埃尔（亨利·方达 Henry Fonda饰）也是贵族，承袭了其父的伯爵称号，与贵族库拉金的女儿海伦（安妮塔·艾克伯格 Anita Ekberg饰）结婚。然而婚后生活并不融洽，两人分居。皮埃尔的挚友安德烈公爵（梅尔·弗尔 Mel Ferrer饰）邂逅美丽的娜塔莎，一见钟情，两人订婚。不久，安德烈又回军队，海伦的弟弟阿纳托里（维托里奥·加斯曼 Vittorio Gassman饰）骗得娜塔莎的爱，唆使其与他私奔。俄法战争爆发了，在撤退途中，娜塔莎遇到身受重伤的安德烈。安德烈谅解了娜塔莎，但他却因伤势过重而离开了人世。战争胜利结束后，满目疮痍的莫斯科。娜塔莎与皮埃尔的新生活从此开始。
