　　达德（约翰·李·米勒 Jonny Lee Miller 饰）是一名出色的天才黑客，曾经，股市因为11岁的他的小小恶作剧而差点崩盘，达德因此被剥夺了使用网络的权利，如今，已经成年的达德终于重新获得了这一权利，跃跃欲试的他摩拳擦掌，准备在网络上重新大展拳脚。凯特（安吉丽娜·朱莉 Angelina Jolie 饰）和乔伊（杰西·布拉德福特 Jesse Bradford 饰）都是如同达德一样的黑客，他们因为趣味相投而走到了一起成为了好友。
