简　　介
　　本片根据法国著名科幻小说家凡尔纳(Jules Verne)同名名著《海底两万里》(20,000 Leagues Under the Sea)改编。
　　1868年航运界传言各大洋有海怪出没，频频袭击过往船只，各国政府被迫派遣军舰维护航道安全，同时调查海怪真伪。不料调查舰被不明怪物撞沉，只有阿龙纳斯教授、助手康塞尔及鱼叉手尼德·兰被“鹦鹉螺号”潜艇救起。该潜艇由尼莫船长指挥，对运载军火的船舰均予击沉。尼莫敬重阿龙纳斯的成就，将其视为上宾。潜艇要返回瓦康尼亚基地，补给船上物资，中途到深海探索海底世界。教授为其科技动力来自海底养殖的技术惊叹不已，但尼德·兰一心想逃跑……
