简　　介
　　一次意外中，王子爱侬（大卫·休里斯 David Thewlis 饰）的心脏受到了致命伤害，为了挽救王子的性命，一条龙献出了自己的半颗心脏。起死回生后的爱侬性情大变，凶恶又残暴，身为王子的剑术老师，伯温（丹尼斯·奎德 Dennis Quaid 饰）认为造成这一改变的罪魁祸首是王子的那一半龙心，为了帮助王子找回心性，爱侬决定不惜一切代价，找到拥有另一半心脏的龙。
　　一转眼十年过去，死在伯温手下的龙不计其数，最终，他遇见了一直在寻找的宿敌，一人一龙之间却产生了深厚的友谊。渐渐的，伯温发现，爱侬的残暴和龙心无关，系他的本性，得知了这一真相的伯温同旅途中认识的卡拉（戴安· 梅尔 Dina Meyer 饰）一起，加入到了推翻爱侬暴政的起义当中去。
