　　曾几何时，阿莫德（安东尼奥·班德拉斯 Antonio Banderas 饰）也享受着锦衣玉食的生活，可犯了色戒的他最终遭到了被放逐的命运，他带着仆人梅奇塞德（奥马尔·沙里夫 Omar Sharif 饰）踏上了无尽的旅程。在旅途中，阿莫德结识了由波利维（Vladimir Kulich 饰）领导的勇士团，他们告诉阿莫德，有一种可怕的食人怪兽在他的家乡肆虐，许多平明百姓无辜死去。对于波利维的说辞，阿莫德半信半疑，决定跟随他们去一探究竟。
