简　　介　
　　时运不济的纽约人马迪亚斯从父亲处继承了一间巴黎公寓，他来到巴黎准备将公寓卖掉，却意外发现房子里有两个“钉子户”——来自英国的老女人马蒂尔德和女儿克洛伊，根据复杂的房产规定，如果房东卖掉房子的话，多年的租户马蒂尔德将有权向马迪亚斯索取月租，直到她去世为止。
