　　安德鲁．伯格曼与尼可拉斯．凯奇合作的另一部喜剧，凯奇在片中饰演对婚姻有恐惧感的私家侦探，被女友莎拉洁西卡派克逼急了，只好带她到赌城去度假。不料他在牌桌上竟将女友输给了赌场老千詹姆斯．肯恩，眼看两人将共度周未良宵，他实在受不了，于是经历一连串的曲折把她追回，并下决心娶她为妻。
　　本片对赌徒的复杂心理刻画得惟妙惟肖，凯奇也演得出色，但更好玩的是片中一个猫王艾维斯模仿大赛的表演，而且用了多位歌星演唱猫王的名曲作为配乐，对猫王的喜爱者而言可算是双重亨受。
