     《生化危机：诅咒》由前作原班人马的神谷诚导演、菅正太郎编剧、小林裕幸制作，导入时下当红的3D显示与动作撷取技术，希望提供给观看者品质更高、震撼力更强的感官体验。将由索尼负责发行，支持3D。预定在2012年10月27日上映。此作的主角依然是《生化危机2》和《生化危机4》的男主角：里昂。里昂在得到东欧小国“东斯拉夫共和国”可能将生物兵器BOW投入实战的情报后，决定只身执行潜入任务收集情报。很快，战局发生了变化，美国及其同盟国开始撤军，里昂也接到命令撤出东斯拉夫。然而，为了终止生化病毒制造的连环悲剧继续伤害更多的无辜生命，里昂最终决定无视命令继续战斗。对里昂来说，一场艰苦而残酷的战斗将不可避免。
     继《Biohazard生化危机》好莱坞电影版系列在全世界热卖后，眼见一般电影观众，对于这类生化危机题材科幻片，依然有著高度的兴趣与接受度，于是开创这《Biohazard》品牌的日本电玩公司CAPCOM，也决定亲自投入电影市场，并在08年推出全3D制作，最忠于电玩原作的3D动画电影《Biohazard：Degeneration(生化危机：恶化)》。
　　在日本三间剧院播放的电影《生化危机：恶化》在08年仅两周的票房为4千多万日元，之后推出的DVD及DB更卖出160多万张。而原作同名游戏系列自 1996开始，全球更大卖4400多万套。从这些数字来看，《Biohazard》也絶对是受欢迎的作品。眼看《Biohazard》如此受欢迎，CAPCOM将会与Sony Pictures Entertainment再度合作，推出《生化危机：恶化》的电影续作——《Biohazard：Damnation(生化危机：诅咒)》。
