　　剧情描述路易原来是个刻薄小气的缺德房东，他无意改善大楼的老旧设备，催讨房租却不择手段。房客们一状告到法院，法官判路易住进大楼内一百二十天，让他亲身体会住在贫氏窟的滋味。路易表面上仍对住客摆出一副死不认错的冷漠嘴脸，但在饱受各种求助无门的居住窘境之后，终于改善设备以作为内心的救赎，并进一步挺身反抗自己的法西斯父亲。
