简　　介  
　　在新开通的地下铁中，青年陈保罗（张国荣 饰）对同车的莫妮卡（张曼玉 饰）一见钟情，不幸却被另一名乘客安妮（梅艳芳 饰）趁机捉弄。这几位年轻人很快散落在茫茫人海中，职场新丁陈保罗开始为工作奔忙，莫妮卡则为了厘清和上司的一段旧情而心神不宁。某日，保罗与莫妮卡再次相遇，而富家小姐安妮亦再度出现，半捉弄半挑逗地缠上了保罗。莫妮卡找到新工作，遭遇了好色新领导的骚扰，保罗则在安妮的暗中帮衬下正式追求莫妮卡，与后者的好色上司连番交手。莫妮卡考虑接受保罗的爱意但终于退缩，声称将他们的爱情交付给一场地铁中的缘分游戏。在离乱的人流中，保罗和安妮一起，去找寻消失的莫妮卡……
