简　　介　
　　费兹罗旅店由一个被废弃的潜艇改建而成。年轻可靠的伯纳德操持这个旅店的所有事务。他爱上了旅店里一名房客，在她的怂恿下，两人害死了旅店的主人。面对法律的制裁，伯纳德为爱承担起一切指控，可女房客却背弃了他。旅店的房客们为了自己的利益，无情地谴责这个曾经辛苦照料他们起居的年轻人。在潜艇即将沉没时，伯纳德认清了大家自私的嘴脸，决定带着唯一的善良老人离开。但最后他无法面对自己良心的谴责，努力救出了所有人。
