简　　介
　　《魔幻铁路历险记》由最受孩子们欢迎的电视连续剧《火车头托马斯和他的朋友们》改编而成。该片秉承了原片无与伦比的魔法魅力，而且首次采用宽荧幕的形式向观众展示这种"半真人演绎半动画制作"的新派电影。  11岁的Lily（由Mara Wilson扮演）坐火车去她爷爷家玩。她爷爷（由Peter Fonda扮演）年轻时可是一名快乐的铁路工程师，但是现在过着孤独的生活。没想到Lily坐错了火车，最后在一个景色优美的小镇下了车。那个小镇名为" 美丽时光"， 在那里Lily遇上了一位会使魔法的列车长（由Alec Baldwin扮演），跟着他又上了火车，沿着"魔幻铁路"开始去苏达岛的探险之旅。要知道苏达岛可是一个玩具王国，可爱的Thomas（迷你型蓝色蒸气车头玩具）就住在那,但是现在这个"世外桃源"正在受到贪婪和愚昧的侵蚀。于是Lily 和Thomas联手，在小狗Mutt、小男孩Patch等其他许多好朋友们的帮助下，共同惩治坏蛋，最终使故事有了一个圆满的结尾。
