　　在古老而遥远的欧洲大陆，有一个名为回龙镇的山地王国。这一日，老国王病入膏肓，临死前希望见儿子马拉奇一眼。忠心耿耿的武将埃里克找到了马拉奇，虽然后者始终对自幼便被父王放逐心怀芥蒂，不过在埃里克和杰森兄弟的劝说下，他最终决定返回故土。然而回到国内却发现，这里土地荒芜，庄稼干枯，民不聊生，国无希望。由于老国王已经晏驾，马拉奇被推举为新的国王。时值此时，神秘的魔法师克里默出现在马拉奇等人的面前，他指出回龙镇目前的惨状全为邪恶的女巫们所为。为了拯救自己的国家，马拉奇集结了诸多勇士向女巫首领赤女妖宣战。
