简　　介　
　　改编自名著《TEN AGAINST CAESAR》。南北战争后，美国除了胜利却元气大伤的北军以及战败沮丧的南军外，就是一批土匪军队横行乡里，而人人在战后企盼和平的心态只求自保无心合力荡寇。华伦亦持此心态，只待娶得巴洛即定居加州经营农场不管世事，未料驿车遭土匪史莱顿抢劫并绑架巴洛小姐而去。杰斯不满史之恶行反遭其害，被华伦所救，遂与华伦展开千里追踪。因人人为己之故找不到民兵支持，到达墨西哥边境时杰斯遇难。华伦虽找回未婚妻，却觉为民除害人人有责，不因个人幸福在望而放弃缉凶，终于在边境激战中将史莱顿消灭。本片拍摄的是处在一个动荡时期的真实反映，表现出处在那个时期的扭曲的人性，和那些迫切希望和平的人们那种心情。
