简　　介　
　　萨姆·克莱格是纽约一家报社的体育新闻记者，他着实被一名叫苔丝·哈丁的外国女记者的评论惹恼了，因为 她总在说体育是多么的毫无用处。于是，他们在各自的专栏中开始了针锋相对的文字交战一至少在他们首次碰 面也是如此。在萨姆带着苔丝去看了她生平的第一次棒球赛后，二人便双双坠入爱河。然而，婚后的生活并不 是那么尽如人意，他们的幸福时常因二人迥然不同的生活方式而受到威胁。萨姆不愿意苔丝在他们的蜜月中帮 助隐藏一个政治避难的欧洲名人；而苔丝也无法忍受丈夫的那些吵吵闹闹的朋友。苔丝被推选为“时代女强人”，而妒火中烧的萨姆也随之离她而去。苔丝为了讨回丈夫的欢心，亲自为他做了一顿早餐——可结果却是糟 糕之极。尽管二人的关系水火不容，他们却也深知无论谁的生活里都不能缺少对方。在影片的结尾，二人终于 重归于好，一切皆大欢喜。
