　　故事发生在1986年，哈里（德里克·理查德森 Derek Richardson 饰）一生都跟随父亲生活在学校地下室中，而一直呆在母亲身旁的洛德（艾瑞克·克里斯蒂安·奥森 Eric Christian Olsen 饰）则从未踏进过校园一步，两人的共同点只有一个，那就是他们都是常人眼中的“低能儿”。在偌大的校园中，“心心相惜”的两人迅速成为了朋友。
