　　马修（马修·麦凯 Mathew Mackay 饰）是一个平凡的十一岁少年，外公去世了，母亲返回故乡料理后事，这一段时间里，马修都跟着身为艺术家的父亲比利（迈克尔·霍根 Michael Hogan 饰）生活。镇上有一间被大火烧毁的房子，流传出许多诡异的故事，一天，马修和好友科尼（Siluck Saysanasy 饰）结伴，决定前往房子里探险。
　　在房子里，马修遇见了鬼魂，第二天，当他从睡梦中醒来之时，发现自己的头发竟然掉的一根不剩。在尝试了种种补救的方法都以失败告终之后，鬼魂托梦给马修， 告诉了他唯一的能够使他重新获得头发的方法。哪知道糊涂的马修因为总是弄错细节而闹了不少的笑话。
