简　　介　
　　莎莉（梅格·瑞恩 饰）开车载哈利（比利·克里斯托 饰）前往纽约，两人就此相识。途中二人言语相左，不欢而散，并留下经典的问题：“排除‘性’的介入，男人和女人可以成为真正的朋友么？”
　　五年后。两人在机场不期而遇。此时，莎莉沉浸于新恋情的甜蜜，而哈利即将步入正式的婚姻生活。哈利告诉莎莉：“在两人各有所爱的时候，男人和女人或许可以成为朋友，但很快他们会质疑为什么要与只能做朋友的人交往。”莎莉佛袖而去。
　　十年后。失恋中的莎莉再次偶遇刚刚离婚的哈利。哈利对莎莉说：“我们要成为朋友了么？你或许是我不想带上床的第一位迷人女性。”
